Yay for speed

I did my speed workout today instead of yesterday and man did it feel great! It's been a while since I got a great speed training session in. I love the hardcore sessions better than the easy ones. I just feel like I don't get much out of runs if I don't push myself. I know it goes against training principles and I really wish we could run hard every time. Today I did 4x800's and clocked about a 3:30-3:50 pace. BUT it was on a treadmill so I am not sure it really counts as much. I gotta get myself on the track or at least the road so I can practice pushing myself. But since hubby is still away I had to do it on the treadmill. I'll get there eventually. I'm still rolling in my happiness of feeling great during this workout. I think pushing close to 50 pounds 4 to 5 days (or 6) is really helping out!!!

Here's to it being Friday tomorrow and hubby being home!!!
