Lack of balance this week

I had a low mileage week this week. Mostly my fault, as in being dedicated, but also just because J had had a rough week sleep wise and hubby is away again....so I was a bit on the tired side. Plus my knee is hurting and I don't know if it's from upping my training or from my new shoes. I added a day of intervals a few weeks ago and I don't know if I have just been going too hard or what. So I backed off this week partly to give my body a rest and partly because of J. and also my lack of balancing everything by myself. Some weeks are just like this for me. I hate it that I don't make time to workout because I always feel better after I've worked out.

But we are headed home to my parent's place for ten days so I will have plenty of helpers to watch J. I have yet to pack and there is still laundry to finish so I can't do anything until that is taken care of. I might just have to crack open a soda and sit on the couch for a bit to decompress before the master packing session begins. I hate the baggage fees so I always try and fit everything into one suitcase. It'll be tough this time because I have to include stuff for each season :-). Seems that way every time I go home to Minnesota during the summer! It's sometimes hotter during the day but always cool enough for pants and long sleeves. Oh and it is always buggy so pants and long sleeves are usually required anyway!

Here's to hoping next week goes better for me running wise!

I also had low mileage this week, because I'm blah!! Have a nice trip and hope everything comes together for next week!

Yeah for built-in babysitters! We all have off weeks. Looks like this is going to be one for me, too.
