Bathing Suit Season
It's that time of year and I am "obviously" in need of a new suit. Last time I was pregnant I didn't have a pool to go to and I wasn't really showing much. This year is different; I'm actually already looking very pregnant. They really don't lie when they say you show faster with second pregnancies! Anyways, I'm trying to decide if I should actually get a maternity suit or wear a very modest bikini. What did you all find most comfortable when you were pregnant? I have a feeling the maternity suit is going to feel strange. But I don't want to look like a weirdo pregnant lady wearing a two piece, either. I got enough strange looks wearing a bikini last year. I guess once you're a mom a bikini is out?

I know what you mean about feeling like you have a belly already! I am only 9 weeks, but am definitely showing a bit and can only wear shorts that sit under my belly.
With my last pregnancy I went to the pool to swim laps, so I just wore my regular training suit until it got ridiculous and wouldn't fit. Then I wore one of my tri suits which is a sports bra type thing and tri shorts. At that point, I didn't care if people thought I looked like a freak. I looked at maternity suits online, but they looked silly and not anything you would seriously swim in.
Like Natalie said, just wear what you find comfortable.
Wear a modest 2 piece. That's completely fine and will fit SO much better than any one piece.
Hi, I'm new to your blog. I was pregnant last summer and had a beautiful baby boy in October. I say wear what you feel comfortable in. I bought a pretty cool looking maternity tankini for the beach. It fit great and didn't make me feel like I was in a maternity bathing suit at all. But if you feel comfy in a modest 2-piece, go for it!
From the Males point of view:
I think pregnate women are beautiful! If you are comfortable in a bikini - wear it. If anybody gives you crap, challenge them to a swim, bike, and run - and crush them like a grape!
We just had a beach day and I am smack between needing maternity stuff all the time and still (barely) able to fit my regular stuff. I ended up going with a bikini because my tankini would've kept riding up and I haven't decided whether or not I really care enough to buy a maternity bathing top. I was comfy. I took a tank top along to cover up while on the sand.
