Feeling Better

It seems my last post scared the crap out of the baby! The day after I wrote it I started feeling SO much better! I'm still a wee bit tired but the nausea seems to be gone for good (as long as I don't miss a snack or a meal). I can't tell you how good this feels!! Like most people I love to eat and hate feeling sick. It is nice to finally have an appetite again :-)

I had my second appointment today and the midwife was able to find the heartbeat! It's always such a great sound and I got a little teary eyed when I heard it. Such a relief! I rented a doppler during my last pregnancy and I am contemplating it again. I worry a little about the overuse of it but it is sooo fun to listen to the baby. I remember last time that we could hear the baby moving around and I think Jon liked to hear the heartbeat since he was never able to make it to an appointment during the first few months. Did any of you guys ever use one?

So now that I have some energy back and the nausea is gone I need to get back to the gym. I can't believe the amount of fat that has already accumulated on my body. I know some of it has to do with just being pregnant (same thing happened last time), but most of it is because I haven't been able to exercise for a while. I wonder if I can reduce the amount of fat on me even if I can't lose weight? Oh well...not too worried about it :-)

I remember reading blogs about a book some of you read about exercise during pregnancy. Can someone give me the name? Thanks!

Book is called "Exercising Through Your Pregnancy" by James Clapp, MD. Highly recommended. glad you're feeling better!! And yes, I remember the FAT that just accumulated everywhere while I was pregnant. WTH? Not sure I understand why the fat needs to build up everywhere while you're growing a baby but no need to worry about it now. It'll be gone next year. ;)

So glad to hear that you are feeling better! That must be such a relief to have that horrible nausea behind you. And so exciting that you got to hear the heartbeat.
