Speaking of core exercises, does anyone out there have any good core exercises to use while pregnant? I am doing the plank and it is getting tough already. :-) That's how weak I am! But I can still do crunches on the ball so I guess that will have to work for now.

What gives?
I went to the gym today and started out on the treadmill. I actually felt pretty great running. I was going really slow but that honestly doesn't bother me because I felt like I was getting a workout in. But again, right around 3/4 mile I started to get a lot of itching on my upper legs and butt. So freaking embarrassing since I know it's pretty caused from my inactivity during the first trimester. I hopped on the cross-trainer after about 2 miles and it didn't happen on there. So maybe if I keep this up my fitness level will get back up there and the itchiness will go away. If not, I will just keep it up on the 'ol cross-trainer. I have a feeling that within a couple of months I'll be on that anyway since I'm already starting to have some issues with my pubic symphysis. I'm trying to do some core work but it's already getting difficult.

Where are we moving?
I have finally found time to post that we found out where we are headed next. We will be moving to PARIS after the beginning of next year. We are very excited and I am happy to know we aren't moving somewhere that requires a person to bleach their veggies and fruits!!!
Now I just have to learn a little French :-)

Potty Trained....Half Way
Here's my little boy in his cute undies!!! Last weekend he wanted to run around the house naked, so I told him that it would be ok as long as he used the potty. I totally expected him to throw a fit and put his diaper back on. Nope, he started to use the potty! So we started to potty train. Happy to say that after 3 days of staying in the house he is for the most part potty trained. I say for the most part because he still wears a diaper at night and we have yet to have a successful number two. The one time he did go during the three days was on the rug. Yup. I was in the kitchen at the time and he ran in freaking out "what happened, what happened." That was on Sunday. He has yet to go again. Major constipation issues, which I am guessing stem from him not wanting to go potty in the potty chair. I have put a diaper on him for two days now at night and he has yet to go. If anyone has any suggestions please let them fly!
But we were out all day today and had NO accidents and he went pee every time I asked him to go so at least we have this covered. This has been my successful achievement for the month :-)

Hard workout needed
I almost feel embarrassed writing this: it's been almost two months since I had a workout other than walking. And I am in need of getting back into the swing of things. I'm an emotional mess. You see, working out for me isn't just a way to keep in shape. It's my therapy. No lie. If I don't workout I end up way, way down. It's definitely my way of not having to take depression meds. And right now, I either have to get my ass moving or go to the doctor and I prefer the former.
I did go to the gym yesterday. I started out on the treadmill at a very slow pace because I really don't want to push it too hard. I'm not going by my heart rate, just by how I feel. And I don't know if it's being pregnant or not having run in almost two months, but my legs were itching like crazy. Holy hell!!! I've had this happen before but only when it's super cold out. I actually had to run to the bathroom so I could scratch like crazy because I was going nuts! But after almost two miles I got a call from the kids center. Jackson peed himself. It was my fault. We only recently did potty training and I should have put him in a diaper. Grr!!
So I am off for some time on the rower. It's all I have for the moment while the boy sleeps. He has totally been testing me today. And I have flown off the handle a couple times. I don't like it and I know it's because I am not working out. I need a good, hard run and I can't, so I am really hoping that rowing works. I remain hopeful, but a run is usually all that really works to bring my spirits up. All I know is I need to find something or these next 6 months will be very, very long :-).

13 weeks Picture
Here is a picture of the 'ol belly at 13 weeks. See, wasn't lying that I am getting bigger already :-). I don't mind getting a belly but I don't really like being at this stage....getting big, but not big enough to fit into the maternity stuff. I think I have a couple things I could wear but I loaned all my maternity stuff out so I need to get it all back!

Feeling Big Already
And just for fun, here is a picture of me at 37 weeks. I still have a hard time believing my stomach is going to stretch out that much again!!! Maybe I will get a smaller baby this time and not get as big :-) (J was 8.8).

Bathing Suit Season
It's that time of year and I am "obviously" in need of a new suit. Last time I was pregnant I didn't have a pool to go to and I wasn't really showing much. This year is different; I'm actually already looking very pregnant. They really don't lie when they say you show faster with second pregnancies! Anyways, I'm trying to decide if I should actually get a maternity suit or wear a very modest bikini. What did you all find most comfortable when you were pregnant? I have a feeling the maternity suit is going to feel strange. But I don't want to look like a weirdo pregnant lady wearing a two piece, either. I got enough strange looks wearing a bikini last year. I guess once you're a mom a bikini is out?
Anyways, would love to hear your thoughts :-)
